RE:SPACE ISSUE 1
Re:Space is a publication that explores unconventional behavior and movement in public spaces, challenging the rigid structures that dictate where and how people are allowed to exist. Through essays, photography, and firsthand accounts, we examine the ways individuals repurpose, disrupt, and reclaim urban environments—whether through street skating, graffiti, informal economies, or other acts of defiance.
This magazine is a critique on the policing of movement, questioning societal double standards that celebrate certain actions in controlled settings while criminalizing them in public. By highlighting these contradictions, we aim to spark dialogue about ownership, access, and the unspoken rules that shape our cities. As a larger brand and system of communication, Re:Space exists as a platform for critical discussion around all areas of social discourse.
